2 Information We Collect

2.1 On-Device Processing (default)

Most of CleanCut's AI features — Remove Background, Auto Enhance, shadow generation, background blur, auto-crop, and all image editing — run entirely on your device. Your photos do not leave your device for those features. We do not receive copies, thumbnails, or derivatives of your personal files.

2.2 Cloud Processing (Magic Eraser only)

The Magic Eraser feature requires cloud processing. When you paint over objects and tap Apply, we transmit the image you selected together with the mask you painted to our image-processing service. The result is returned to your device, and the submitted image is retained only long enough to complete the request. We do not:

You can avoid cloud processing entirely by not using the Magic Eraser feature. All other editing tools remain fully on-device.

2.3 Third-Party Services and SDKs

CleanCut integrates the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google) — Analytics, Remote Config, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging. Collects: app usage events, device model, OS version, coarse region, crash stack traces, and non-personal installation identifiers (Firebase Installation ID).

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — Displays advertisements to users on the free tier. Collects: advertising identifier (IDFA, where permitted), coarse location, device information. Pro subscribers do not see ads, and associated data collection is suppressed accordingly.

Airbridge — Attribution and install-campaign analytics. Collects: device identifiers, IP address, installation and engagement events.

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. AAAI Studio LLC is not responsible for their individual practices. We include only the services strictly needed to operate the App.

2.4 Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and Apple's StoreKit framework. We receive only the product identifier (e.g. weekly, monthly, yearly, lifetime), purchase date, and expiration date for the purpose of activating Pro features on your device. We do not receive your Apple ID, credit-card number, billing address, or full receipt data.

2.5 Website Analytics

Our website may use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and performance. Where required, we will ask for your consent before storing or reading non-essential analytics cookies.

2.6 Support Communications

When you contact us for support, we process your name, email address, message content, and any technical information you voluntarily provide, in order to respond to your request.

2.7 Children's Data

CleanCut is not directed to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
