Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of CleanCut (the "App"), a mobile application developed and published by AAAI Studio LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), based in the United States. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1 Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to form a binding contract to use CleanCut. The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old, or if you are between 13 and 18 years of age, that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

2 License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

3 Subscriptions, In-App Purchases and Billing

3.1 Billing Through the App Store

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. AAAI Studio LLC does not directly process payment information.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

CleanCut Pro subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly) automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. The renewal charge will be applied within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

3.3 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires.

3.4 Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or via your App Store account. Deleting the App from your device does not automatically cancel your subscription.

3.5 Refunds

Refund requests must be directed to Apple per their refund policy. AAAI Studio LLC cannot process refunds directly.

4 User Content and Responsibility

CleanCut provides tools that edit, composite, and remove objects from your photos. You are solely responsible for reviewing images before taking any action and for any consequences of modifying, exporting, or sharing that content.

Important: Once you save an edited result back to Photos or overwrite a project, the prior state may not be recoverable from within the App. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups using your device's built-in tools (iCloud Photos or a similar service).

You retain all rights to the photos you import. We do not claim ownership over your content. However, for features that require cloud processing (see Section 5), you grant us a limited, time-bounded licence to transmit and process the specific image you submit, solely for the purpose of delivering the feature.

5 Cloud Processing for Magic Eraser

CleanCut's Magic Eraser feature sends the image and the mask you paint to our cloud service for object removal. The processed result is returned to your device and the submitted image is retained only long enough to complete the request. We do not use your images to train machine-learning models, sell them, or share them with third parties for marketing purposes.

All other AI features in CleanCut — Remove Background, Auto Enhance, shadow generation, background blur, auto-crop — run entirely on your device. Your photos do not leave your device for those features.

6 Third-Party Services and SDKs

CleanCut integrates the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google) — Analytics, Remote Config, Crashlytics, and Cloud Messaging. Used for crash reporting, usage measurement, and feature-flag delivery.

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — Advertisement serving for users on the free tier. Pro users do not see ads.

Airbridge — Attribution and install-campaign measurement.

These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. AAAI Studio LLC is not responsible for their practices. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data each service receives.

7 Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8 Intellectual Property

CleanCut, including all content, features, and functionality (such as software, text, graphics, logos, icons, design, and AI models), is owned by AAAI Studio LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise use any of our content except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

9 Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

AAAI Studio LLC does not warrant that:

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AAAI Studio LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amounts you have paid for the App in the preceding twelve (12) months, or the minimum amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater.

11 Changes, Updates and Termination

We may update the App's features, release new versions, change or discontinue any aspect of the App, and suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Wyoming, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
